Our new pool is finally finished and we are so excited! Back when we were building the pool we had no idea how great the timing would be with the state of our world right now. We are all quarantining and staying at home so we have lots of time to spend in the back yard and enjoy our new pool. I shared a photo on Instagram last week and had tons of questions about all the details so I will try my best to answer all them below.
Let me start by saying, I LOVE our new pool, however we built it to sell our home. We asked our pool builder the most popular styles, tiles, colors, etc since we were trying to build the most universal pool for someone interested in buying our home. While I love the way everything turned out, I will be doing a different design at our new home. I will say though we have already learned several things about our needs since having this pool which will be very helpful in our new home. For example, we use our pool bath a TON!!! We have a huge one at our current home and our newer home had a small one planned. We have since made it much larger. The pool bath is a great place to come in and take off all your wet clothes, store sunscreen, towels, etc., especially with young kids. It has stopped our kids from running through our entire home, soaking wet, when they need something.
Here are our pool details:
SIZE: 35’x 16′.6″. We did more of a sports pool so it is 3.5 ft deep to 5ft deep. It is an 18.1 gallons
DECKING: We did Travertine pavers in Light Walnut with Lueders coping. The back wall and hot tub siding is double sided buff chopped Lueders. The back wall fountains are stone scuppers.
COLOR: The pool is a Quartzscape finish in Tahoe Blue. The tile surround in the pool is called Noble NGPD 636 Verona Blue.
POOL COMPANY: Splash Master Pools
We did a chlorine pool with Inline chlorinator and Orenda products for maintenance.
The weather is finally starting to warm up and we are looking forward to lots of time spent out here!
