I am so excited to share our adorable farmhouse with yall. I am going to be sharing everything room by room. Today I am sharing the Hearth Room. It’s an adorable little room right off our kitchen. I have always loved hearth rooms and am so excited to have one in this house. We will actually have one in our new house too!
Here she is. It is so cozy in here. I actually took this photo from the kitchen. The kitchen is directly behind the hearth room. I love being in the kitchen and having my family right here while I cook. We have a TV and amazing antique brick fireplace. This space gets great light and has a beautiful view to the front of the house and all the beautiful land.
We love our new rug from KAS rugs. It adds beautiful texture, is soft under foot and I love the way it looks. It is hand woven with jute and wool. This one is the ivory color. It doesn’t shed and we loved it so much we got the grey option for Braden’s room. I have always loved the look of jute rugs, but sometimes they are a little scratchy, this one isn’t at all.
I found this horse canvas and thought it was perfect for our room. Here is a close up photo. I love the wood grain detail. I was looking for something large and this is 40″x 30″. Right now you can save 20% with CODE: DEAL20.
These built in shelves were a perfect spot to store all of my serving dishes. Both pretty and functional. If this was my home I would love to paint the built ins white and put grasscloth wallpaper in the back of the shelves, but instead I just filled them with white dishes! In the photo above you can see a little corner of the kitchen and a peek at the dining room.
I like mixing old architectural pieces in my decor. This old window is paired with my beautiful sign from Vine and Branches.
Here is my new lighting that I got for less than $200! I couldn’t love it more!! I use these light bulbs.
The people who build this home did an amazing job incorporating old elements into it so it feels like it has been here forever. This fireplace is made of reclaimed brick. I love the unique stamps on them. It also is wood burning with a pot rack inside to boil water. They also have a build in bread cooker so you can actually cook bread in it. That seems way advanced for me, but is super cool.
We have a 2nd larger family room in the house, but we spend a lot of time in this room and we just love it! This is definitely the heart of the home!
