Hi friends, welcome to our farmhouse. I have been sharing it room by room and on today’s tour I am sharing the entryway.
One of the things I love most about this home is the front door! When I first pulled up to the house I just fell in love. It is an antique door that the homeowner found and incorporated into the home. I love the big glass panels, side lights and transoms that let in tons of light. I also love the vintage mail slot in the door. It adds so much character!
Here you can see all the light that comes in and it looks out over the beautiful property!
It is such a cute little entryway. The dining room is directly behind the stairs. If you go to the left of the stairs you head into the family room and if you go to the right of the stairs you go into the dining room which feeds into the kitchen/hearth room.
I had so much fun decorating these stairs with garland at Christmas.
The piece of furniture between the stairs used to be a night stand in our guest bedroom. It was the perfect size for this spot and the guest room in this house only needed 1 nightstand so it worked out perfectly.
I get asked often about this wreath. It was a super easy and inexpensive DIY that I did out of coffee filters. You can find a tutorial here.
The below photo is from our Halloween home tour, but you can see the corner of the entryway where we have a small mudroom piece of furniture. This is a great drop zone for the kids to grab coats & shoes before they run outside and play. In this home the front yard gets used way more than the backyard!
I just love our little entryway. It is such a charming welcome into the house. Hope you enjoyed this version of the tour. Thanks for stopping by!
