Earlier this week I shared some wallpaper options I was considering for our pool bath. I want this room to be fun and have a pop of pattern and color. I think I have decided on the winner and today I am going to share the complete look with our pool bath design board.
I really loved all the options, but I kept coming back to this one. While I wanted this room to be different, I also wanted it to “flow” with the rest of the house. The blues will be used in other areas of our home, but I LOVE the pop of yellow in this one. I felt like it was the perfect blend of southern, fun and classic. This one also got a lot of votes so I think many of you agree.
I am using black and white hexagon floor tiles in many areas of our home. They are inexpensive and the definition of timeless/classic. I wanted to spruce it up in this room by adding a simple border. I debated doing picture molding in this room, but since it is a pool bath I decided to go with tile. Subway tile is another great timeless, affordable, classic option and I made it a little more interesting with a thin black border and subway tile trim ledge.
Since these 2 elements are neutral/classic I wanted a pop with the wallpaper. I am really excited about this option. The sink is everything!!! I love a trough sink! I went with brass hardware, lighting and mirror. This mirror is perfect because it has a shelf for hand soap. The sink doesn’t have a space to put it, so I needed a solution. Let me clarify, the sink has an actual soap dish, but I am not putting bar soap in there to be used. Bar soap grosses me out. I found this pretty brass schoolhouse lighting that was a great price and ties in with the more retro vibe of the floor and subway tile.
It wouldn’t be a Southern bathroom without a monogrammed hand towel. It is the icing on the cake. The built in cabinets will have some kind of cut out detail for added interest and brass hardware. I love these simple frames that I will put on the back wall along with some hooks to hang pool towels. The cute black and white RESTROOM sign will hang above the door outside on the patio. That way when we have guests over they know which door to use to go potty!
I cannot wait to have our house done with guests over. I am ready for parties and entertaining again!
