I had been counting down the days until our family vacation.  We headed out on a road trip to my happy place and I am so excited to be here!  Last year we discovered the most amazing town ever (more details below).  I am seriously obsessed and we headed back for 10 days this summer!  We are busy relaxing and making lots of memories.

As most Mom’s know, family vacations are a lot of fun, but they are also a ton of work!  You want to make sure you have ALL.THE.THINGS everyone will need.  I am so grateful to Walmart+ for making this process so much easier.  The town we are staying in is kind of remote.  There are a couple grocery stores in town, but there are not many options.  I wanted to make sure to bring some things with us before we left.

Walmart+ helped take the stress out of preparing for a family trip.  Like I said, family trips are fun, but a lot of work and this one was honestly so easy!  I am so thankful for this time away with our family to relax, unwind, and spend lots of quality time together.  We only have 8 summers left with Avery and 12 with Braden before they are off on their own and I want to make sure to soak in that time as much as possible!  I’m grateful for memberships like Walmart+ which allow me to do just that!

Carlton Landing

I had read about this town in Oklahoma in a magazine a few years back and it really piqued my interest.  It was super cute and I told Geoff I wanted to check it out sometime.  Honestly, with busy schedules, etc I forgot about it and then a blogger friend of mine went and shared and I got to see how amazing it was in her videos.  We already had a packed vacation schedule last year, but when Covid hit and everything was cancelled I told Geoff we should go check this place out.  It is only 2 hours and 45 minutes from where we live so it is an easy vacation.  We booked out first trip last October, fell in love and went back in Nov, January, March and now for 10 days this summer!  The place is called Carlton Landing and it is a little slice of heaven.  I will be sharing more details of Carlton Landing, our rental, etc in an upcoming post.  It is definitely our family’s happy place!
