We love fall around here! The weather, the activities, the smells and the FOOD! One of my favorite things to make is pumpkin bread. Growing up my friends mom had the most amazing recipe ever and she passed it along to me. I make it every fall and it is a family favorite for sure! Today I am sharing it with yall so you can make it for your friends & family!

Last week the kids were begging me for some pumpkin bread and I was so busy I could not run to the store and didn’t have the ingredients on hand. No worries, my Walmart+ membership to the rescue! I have shared my love of my Walmart+ membership before and I am telling yall, it comes in so handy. I just hopped online, placed an order for the ingredients I needed and it showed up at my door the same day! The pumpkin bread was ready when the kids got home from school.
I always place my weekly grocery store orders using the Walmart+ membership’s free same day delivery from my local store benefit ($35 minimum, some restrictions apply). It saves me so much time and money. There is unlimited free delivery so when I need an additional order like the pumpkin bread ingredients, I just hop on and place an additional order. PUMPKIN BREAD RECIPE
This recipe is easy to make and I typically put it in 3 small pumpkin bread tins so we can keep some and give some away. You could easily put it in a larger bread pan though if you want a larger size.
**This is my favorite tray below. I use it all the time. You need one**
INGREDIENTS:
- 3 cups sugar
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 4 eggs
- 1 can pumpkin (15 oz)
- 3 1/2 cups flour
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp allspice
- 1 stp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp cloves
- 2/3 cup water
DIRECTIONS:
In a large mixing bowl, cream sugar and oil. Add eggs and pumpkin, mix well. In a different bowl, sift together the dry ingredients. To the pumpkin mix, add dry ingredients alternating with water. Pour into well-greased and floured loaf pans.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until done. I typically check mine at 45 minutes and then reset the timer in 10 minute increments. It will cook faster if you use smaller pans.
I am telling yall, this will be a family and crowd favorite. It is also a great thing to make for gifts! Make it in the small bread pans and tie some ribbon around it for a hostess gift, a teachers gift, etc.
