I was lucky enough to get to go to 30A twice in the last 6 weeks! Once for a girls trip in August to see my friends new home and then for Labor Day weekend with my family and some friends. We had the best time! I got lots of questions about where we stayed, what we did, etc so I am sharing it all today.
The first trip was with 6 girlfriends and no kids. It was a totally different experience. We stayed at our friends new house and had the best time. Lots of relaxing and lots of fun. We ate at so many great restaurants and got to really explore lots of 30A.
We ate at so many yummy places! First evening we got in and went to La Crema for dinner. It is an amazing tapas place in Rosemary. Then we explored, went down to the beach, etc.
The next day we went to Donut Hole for breakfast (yum) and rented a Tiki boat and went to Crab Island. This was such a fun experience and I highly recommend it if you have never tried it. Crab Island was so cool. It is this shallow area about waist deep right out in the ocean. Tons of boats anchor up there and you can just hang out all day. The Tiki boat was amazing. We had a driver that took us out there and set up games, etc in the water.
That evening after a great day at Crab Island, we got cleaned up and went to The Citizen in ALYS Beach for appetizers/drinks and George’s for dinner. If you go to The Citizen you have to get the Warm Cheddar Biscuits and Whipped Feta apps. SO GOOD!
Our last day we went to Watersound Beach Club where our friend is a member and hung out on the beach all day. For our last night we went to The Surfing Deer. Another amazing meal and the dessert was insane! We were still at the tail end of celebrating my 40th bday and the surprised us with a dessert. I would have NEVER ordered this dessert on my own, but WOW!! It was the skillet confetti cookie with fruity pebbles. I don’t like fruity pebbles and would definitely have thought this was a kids dessert, but I was so wrong. Everyone at the table loved it. Huge surprise to us all! If you go, I recommend trying it!
It was a quick getaway with amazing friends and lifetime memories. I will be recapping my 2nd 30a trip shortly and that one had a huge standout . . . THE INCREDIBLE HOUSE WE STAYED AT!! HOLY WOW! YALL HAD SO MANY QUESTIONS ABOUT IT and I see why. It was truly unreal! Stay tuned!
