I love antiques. I just love them. They have so much character and the quality cannot be beat. They just don’t make furniture they way they used to. Antiques add so much warmth to a home and tell a story. I love hunting for them and when you find that perfect piece it is the best feeling. I have been lucky enough to have some gorgeous pieces over the years and honestly I get attached to them. With this move there are a few pieces I have to say goodbye to. They are gorgeous and some of my favorites, but they just don’t have a spot in our new home. Our loss is your gain! These beauties can be yours!
I love thinking of where all they might have been. What they were previously used for? Whos homes were they in, etc. and . . . because they are heirloom type pieces, what stories will they have to tell in the future. These pieces will live longer than us! Will they be passed down to kids/grandkids, etc. Right now they are in Texas, will they end up in Maine? Who knows. Kinda fun to think about.
ANTIQUE COUNTER:
The first piece is one of my favorite pieces ever. I got it at an auction and had to have it. It was definitely an investment, but it is such a statement piece. It is HUGE and solid, with tons of storage. We have used it as a media stand in the last 3 homes. We needed a large piece and I wanted something unique. This piece was perfect! It was originally an old counter in a store in Pennsylvania. I would love to have gone into that store! Some of the drawers have old wood dividers in them. The hardware is so special and I love the old thick plank top. The dimensions are 90.5″ wide, 24″ deep, 36″ tall.
Below you can see how we used it in the farmhouse rental. . .
And here is how we used it in our last home. I purchased it for that nook!
This piece has so many uses. TV stand, sideboard, long hallway entry piece, it is very versatile! These apothecary type cabinets range from $3000-$1200. This one can be yours for $2500!
BLUE ANTIQUE COUNTER:
Here is another amazing antique counter. This one is the most gorgeous blue/blue grey. It has a super thick wood top. The drawers glide very smoothly and the entire thing is solid wood. Such a fun piece! Dimensions: 56″ wide, 24″ deep, 38″ tall.
Again, so many cool things you could do with this piece. Asking $1200
ANTIQUE CABINET:
This piece is so cute. It is an old antique cabinet. Perfect for stacking dishes or honestly it has so many uses. It is a great size that could be used in so many spots. Would be adorable in a bathroom with linens, etc. The inside has natural wood shelves with a distressed bead board back. The interior sides of the piece are a robin egg blue. Dimensions: 30″ wide, 15″ deep, 75.5″ tall. Asking $500.
