Hi friends! I don’t know about you, but “back to school” is one of my favorite times of the year. Something about a fresh new year, getting back on a schedule, etc just gets me all excited. I felt the same way when I was a kid. I know this year may look different for many of us, but I am trying to keep some routine and tradition over here and get my kids excited about the new year. Whether it’s through virtual learning or in class learning, I want to make it special and set the tone for a great year. One of the things we do every new school year is go back to school shopping. We purge the old clothes that no longer fit and get some cute new things that my kids love. Today I am sharing some great new budget friendly back to school items that we found.
BACK TO SCHOOL SHOPPING FINDS
We always head to Walmart for our back to school shopping. Every year they blow me away with the cute items they have and you honestly cannot beat the prices (everything under $15 and most under $10). This year did not disappoint! We found so many thing that my kids just love! It is also so easy to shop. We found lots of great things in the store and online! I love that the shipping is fast and if for any reason something doesn’t work out it is so easy to return!
The kids were so excited about these backpacks! I let them go to the store and pick out anything they wanted and they have literally been carrying them around the house every day! They perfectly match what they are into these days. Minecraft and cats! Speaking of love. . .Braden is obsessed with this sweatshirt. You will see more in the later pictures because I couldn’t get him to take it off. He begged to wear it all day (keep in mind it is approximately 147 degrees in Texas. . .he didn’t care!). He loves dinosaurs and the fact that this hoodie had dinosaur spikes on the top was the coolest thing ever to him! I have a feeling this will be worn on repeat! I love his jeans because I have a hard time finding jeans that fit him (and they are UNDER $10!!). He is tall and very thin so many jeans just hang on him. These are slim fit and have waist adjusters so we were able to get the perfect fit! Avery’s sweatshirt is adorable and the Be Kind is embroidered on. The quality is amazing and she said it is so soft! This white denim skirt is also the cutest. You cannot see from this photo, but it buttons up the front ties at the top and also has waist adjusters for the perfect fit! Her shoes are quilted black glitter and slide on which is a major win!

Avery’s A line ruffle dress dress is so pretty and great to wear right now. It is light weight, but can be layered as it starts to get cooler. It comes in several cute prints, but she loved this leopard option. Bradens shirt is part of the 365 Garanimals line. There is a large section store which makes it so easy to shop. Everything is mix and match and coordinates so nicely. You can buy a few things and create several outfits. Most items are under $6!! His cargo shorts are cute, comfortable, have a working drawstring and cute stitching details. We bought similar shoes for him last year and he wore them non-stop so I was thrilled to see they brought them back this year. They are navy/denim look like they have laces, but actually velcro so they are very easy for him to put on himself!
Here is a little sneak peak of Avery’s room in our new rental house. I will be sharing all the details of it soon, but I wanted to share a few great things we found at Walmart. I am in LOVE with her white metal bed and she picked out her bench as an early birthday gift! The base is gold and the top is a soft blush color. She is so excited about her new room!
We love being comfortable at our house! Here are 2 great athleisure outfits! Braden has a cute tee paired with fun camo sweats and Avery’s outfit came as a set with top and leggings for less than $12!! The top crosses in the back and the leggings come with pockets! There are 4 different colors/styles to choose from. I seriously wish they had this in my size! They are also sitting in their new favorite saucer chairs! These are so soft and comfortable and they fold up nice and flat for easy storage!
As you will see in all the remaining photos Braden is wearing his favorite dinosaur outfit! I do want to talk about his shoes though. They are super cute grey hightop sneakers with faux laces that zip on the side. Love these for Fall!

Avery loves anything pink and sparkly. This sweatshirt was perfect for her! Jeans are hard because she is very particular about how they feel. She wants them to be super comfortable and luckily these were. They came in several washes, but we picked the dark denim. These slide on shoes are the cutest in an iridescent material. They also wipe clean very easily which mom loves!
We are all set for back to school with these cute finds! I hope yall found some things you love too! Not only does Walmart have great clothing, but their school supplies are amazing too! Lots of great folders, notebooks, pens, lunch boxes, etc. They really are your one stop shop for all your back to school shopping needs!
