I am in full on design mode over here. I’m busy picking out all the things for our new home. I am trying to stay classic with everything. Black, white, wood, marble, subway tile, hex tile, just very timeless. There are a few rooms I am doing some “fun” things in, but even in those rooms instead of a trendy tile, I am trying to keep it “fun” with classic elements. I have always loved a good plaid and it is always in style. I saw this buffalo check pattern and knew it was perfect for our laundry room. I will be sharing the mood board for the laundry room soon, but wanted to share my buffalo check floor inspo with you today.
The other good news about this flooring, it is relatively inexpensive! WOO HOO! You can just use basic tiles in different colors and lay them in the plaid pattern!
Holly Mathis is where I saw this flooring for the first time and fell in LOVE! How cute is this laundry room?! I mean, this entire house Holly designed is just dreamy! If your laundry room is this cute you know the rest of the house is amazing!
Here is a larger scale version in a kitchen.
It looks beautiful in this restaurant. They used tons of classic elements too! Subway tile, wood shelves and I love the green tile trim stripe they used on the bar.
Here it is again in a laundry room by Clark & Co! This entire Modern Farmhouse is stunning!
This buffalo check flooring is very unique! They used laminate flooring that looks incredible. It is amazing how bad this looked in my elementary school cafeteria, but just mixing a few colors in a cool pattern looks incredible! I am considering this in our workout room! I also love the grey color!
This is a different version of the plaid, but I also love the way it looks. There are so many creative things you can do with the tile.
You can also incorporate this pattern in other ways. Here it is in a beautiful shower design in navy.
I am drawn to the black and white patterns, but you can do it in many different colors. Pink would be so much fun in a girls bathroom! The sky is the limit.
Can’t wait to share our laundry room design!
