Hi friends. If you have been following me on Instagram stories than you already heard the news, but we are selling our current home and will be building our dream home over the next year. I am so excited I cannot even tell you. This has been a dream of mine for years I cannot belive it is finally happening!
I love our current home, but we are wanting something different. We want a 1 story home, bigger lot, lots of trees and a different style home. I have always dreamed of owning a white cottage in the woods and now it is going to happen! We have been super busy behind the scenes finding a lot, designing everything, picking a builder, etc. I have literally designed and decorated this home in my head over the last 5 years and now I will be able to see it come to life! I will be sharing all of the details and taking all of you along on this journey. We have already learned so much and I will be sharing everything so if you are in the process of building a new home, or will be in the future, hopefully you can learn from our experience or just be entertained seeing the whole process.
I will be using a #hastag on all the Instagram posts I do on our new home so they are easy to find.

Here are some inspirational pictures I found that our home will be loosely based on. I want classic, timeless, something you would see in the country side of New England. I want it to look like it could have been build in the 1920s or today. Think white siding, white brick, shingles, vintage red brick pavers, charming landscape, etc.

Once our home sells we will be moving to a rental home for the next year while our new home is being built. It should take about a year. Be sure you subscribe to our newsletter (on the right hand side of my blog) and follow me on social media because it will be an information packed, fun ride.
