I have been getting asked a lot about the hardware we chose for our home. I thought it would be helpful to have everything together in 1 post. I will also be sharing individually as I reveal each room, but here are all my cabinet knobs & pulls in 1 spot for reference.
Hardware is such an important part of any home. It is the jewelry and really helps bring a home together. The way a home turns out is really all in the details. I like mixing metals and I also mix budgets. I will spend more in the main areas of my home and then go more budget friendly in less important rooms.
I am really drawn to unlacquered brass because it is so timeless, has an older feel and a charm that can’t be matched. I love a good patina. We used a lot of it in our home. One downside to unlacquered brass is it is really hard to find good knock-off options. For example, chrome and oil-rubbed bronze have many more affordable options to choose from. . .”knock off brass” typically looks really cheap! There are a few exceptions which I will share below, but just food for thought when picking out your own hardware.
CABINET HARDWARE: KNOBS & PULLS
KITCHEN:
We chose unlacquered brass in this space and I love it. It really warms up everything. We used a variety of pulls and knobs to add interest.
- CABINET KNOBS
- CABINET LATCHES LARGE
- DRAWER PULLS 4″
- DRAWER PULLS 6″
- FRIDGE/FREEZER PULLS 12″
- DISHWASHER PULL 10″
- ISLAND DRAWER RING PULLS
We used latches on the upper cabinets. I love the way they look, but they are not the easiest for daily use so we put them higher. We used 4″ pulls on these drawers and then longer 6″ pulls on the rest of the drawers in the kitchen. I love our fridge/freezer pulls. We did 12″ for these and then 10″ on the dishwasher.
BUTLERS PANTRY:
I wanted this room to feel like an old vintage apothecary shop or bakery. Just very charming. I love the look of painted wood knobs so that is what we went with in this space. Not only do I love the look, but it saved us so much money!! These wooden knobs are super inexpensive. Like $1 a knob!! They are sold in a pack of 2. We also used wood knobs in our mudroom and pool bath painted white.
FAMILY ROOM:
We have built in cabinets on either side of our fireplace. I loved these Barlow unlacquered brass knobs. The base is so pretty and they coordinate so well with our kitchen. Since the space ties in together I wanted them to flow, but be different.
PRIMARY BEDROOM ENTRANCE:
We used the same Barlow unlacquered brass knobs on the built in cabinets that are in the entry of our primary bedroom! I like tying in the same hardware in multiple rooms of the house so everything ties together.
GAME ROOM BAR:
Originally I wanted Pottery Barn knobs in this space, but they were backordered for months so I found a dupe on Amazon and I love the way they turned out. I used Gold Leaf Rub and Buff on them so they would coordinate the Pottery Barn pull that I used on the pull out trash. I love the knurled edge details. The Rub & Buff really pulled it all together and was so budget friendly!! The knobs end up being $2 each!
- AMAZON KNOBS
- POTTERY BARN PULL 6″
- RUB & BUFF Gold Leaf
MY OFFICE:
I used unlacquered brass in this space as well.
GEOFF’S OFFICE:
I used the same pulls in here that we used in the kitchen, but changed up the knobs to have a little more texture and to be a little bit more masqueline. I love how the the unlacquered brass pops on navy paint!
BRADEN’S BATHROOM:
Secondary bathrooms is a great spot to go more budget friendly. Faux brass can sometimes have a really bad finish, but I was really pleased with this option. These were so affordable at like $2 a knob!
AVERY’S BATHROOM:
I love the way Avery’s bath knobs turned out. The glass and gold is just so pretty. These are another budget friendly find from Amazon!
GUEST BATHROOM:
I used chrome knobs in this bathroom. Loved the raised design on these knobs. Dresses them up a bit.
PRIMARY BATHROOM:
I used the same knobs that I used in the guest bathroom in my primary bathroom and then also added some chrome pulls on my vanity.
MUDROOM:
I used unlacquered brass vintage inspired pulls in this room and simple brass knobs. I also used some inexpensive hooks from Amazon and Rub & Buffed them with Gold Leaf to make everything coordinate. Those have not been installed yet.
- KNOBS
- PULLS
- HOOKS
- RUB & BUFF Gold Leaf
Ok, I think that covers all of my pulls and knobs. I have more hardware like door knobs, latches, etc that I will share in a different post. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!
