If you have been following along with me for awhile than you know over the last year 2 years I have been on a health journey. I struggled with my weight for a large portion of my life and finally found a tool that would help me hit and maintain my goals. I had Gastric Sleeve Surgery August of 2018 and it was a huge game changer for me. You can read more about that HERE. I lost 120+ lbs over the last year and a half and today I am starting my next phase of this journey. . .plastic surgery.
One of the most asked questions I get is “do I have lose skin?” . . .Yes, I do. Honestly, I faired pretty well for someone who lost that much weight, but there are still parts I am not happy with. When I started this process a year and a half ago I knew if I hit my goal weight I would most likely want a few things “fixed”. Today is the day. After tons of research, prayers, etc I have decided to get several procedures done. I will be sharing my story on the blog as well as Instagram stories. If you want the play by play, follow me there.
I will be having an extended tummy tuck with muscle repair, 360 liposuction, breast augmentation, some thigh liposuction and fat transfer. I am not having an actual BBL because I don’t have enough fat and I am not looking for a large backside. My doctor takes the fat and injects it around to contour and smooth out your silhouette. Some will be in my upper butt area, but some will be used to smooth out hips, etc.
I am very excited, but also very nervous. I have heard that it is extremely painful, so definitely not looking forward to that. Really. . . I am excited about March :). Thank you so much to everyone who has sent the sweetest messages on social media. I really appreciate all the support. Plastic surgery is not for everyone, I wasn’t ever sure it would be right for me, but after lots of thinking and soul searching I am very happy with my decision. I am by no means pushing plastic surgery, just sharing my story So many of you have reached out saying you are having this procedure or considering it so I will try to share as much as possible. I know how helpful it was for me when doing my research to see others be so transparent about their experiences. I hope to be able to do that for you as well.
I will be in surgery most of the day today, stay over night and head home tomorrow. Instagram stories is the best way to keep up with me right now. I will hop on there as soon as I am feeling up to it. Lots more coming on this topic and my entire weight loss journey up to this point soon. I will be giving details, doctors info, pictures, etc. stay tuned. . .
