I was lucky enough to go to 30a Florida twice this summer! I shared part 1 (our girls trip) here and today I am talking all about our Labor Day trip with our family and some wonderful friends. We had the best time and stayed in the most incredible home! I shared some videos on IG stories and yall had tons of questions. Sharing all the details below!
This was our 2nd time to go to 30a with the kids and it was so nice because it was so much more relaxed. We didn’t feel pressure to see and do all the things. We stayed in Watercolor in the most incredible VRBO ever! I mean, yall, it was so unreal. The most perfect layout for multiple families and it was in the best neighborhood and location that we really had so much fun hanging around the house, riding bikes, exploring the area, etc. CHECK IT OUT HERE
The house had 6 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms. The best part is it has 4 master bedrooms with private bathrooms! You could come with multiple families and everyone has their own incredible retreat! This is such a huge perk! There is also a huge bunk room and game room. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out and have their own area. It is 3 stories, has a pool, porch with pingpong table, 2 laundry rooms, a landing area with TV and did I mention a HUGE game room with bar (also a bar downstairs), extra beds, and large TV with Playstation. It also comes with 6 bikes, a super nice 6 person golf cart and passes to Watercolor Beach Club, Camp Watercolor and the community pools. If you are looking for a place to stay, look no further! Besides all the amazing things I mentioned my design loving heart was so happy. Everything was gorgeous and top of the line! Rohl fixtures, top end appliances, William & Sonoma kitchen gear, SMEG toaster, you name it . . . none of us wanted to leave! You can see my video tour on Instagram Highlights.
There was this incredible outdoor shower off of the master bedroom downstairs and this was Braden’s favorite part. He LOVED showering out there and asked if we could have one of these at our new house! The whole thing was made of oyster shells!
Day 1 we arrived and just hung out at the house. We went to the grocery store and cooked dinner at home. We enjoyed the pool and all the amazing house amenities.
Day 2 the moms went and had breakfast at The Impeccable Pig while the kids explored and rode bikes with the dads. Then we all headed out to Panama City where we rented a pontoon boat with slides and went out to Shell Island. We did Crab Island when we went on our girls trip and we heard Shell Island was more family friendly so we headed out there. It was a really fun day. The slides were awesome and we did find some really cool shells! Starfish, sand dollars and Geoff found a conch that we brought home with us! After a fun day on the ocean, we had dinner at Schooners. That place was amazing! Right on the beach, gorgeous views, great food, just an amazing atmosphere. They blow off a cannon at sunset . . . the whole experience was really fun.
Day 3 we woke up and headed to the Watercolor Beach Club. We rented chairs on the beach and that was the way to go. So convenient having everything set up for you. We spend the majority of the day there enjoying the gorgeous ocean. After many hours at the beach, we went up to the pool area to swim. Watercolor Beach Club is in downtown Seaside so after we took the kids for some ice cream at Heavenly, some shopping at Duckies and a little exploring. Then we headed home to get cleaned up, get in our jammies and enjoy our incredible house. Movie night for the kids and games for the adults. We ordered pizza from Brunos which was delicious.
Day 4 we had a relaxing morning riding bikes, the kids explored the adorable neighborhood and then we all went over to Camp Watercolor. That is a huge perk of staying in this area. It is a 2nd large pool resort with waterslides, lazy river, etc. We spent most of the day there and then headed to Rosemary Beach for the evening. The kids were begging to go to Sugar Shack so we all had dinner at La Crema and then went to Sugar Shack for treats. The kids were in heaven!
It was another amazing vacation to 30a. There is just something so special about this area! If you are thinking about coming I highly recommend checking out the house we stayed in. You will not be disappointed. None of us wanted to leave. The whole thing was just incredible!!
