Do you ever look through magazines, catalogs or Pinterest and love what you see, but feel overwhelmed with where to start decorating? I get it….we have busy lives and sometimes decorating, especially for the holidays, gets put on the back burner. Well, today I am going to share 6 quick and easy Halloween Decorating tips (most can be used for other holidays as well)! Seriously, you can add Halloween charm to your home in minutes!
CLIPBOARD ART
I love decorating with clipboards. They are very cute and cheap! I get mine at the Dollar store and print out different sayings depending on which holiday it is. Grab a few, print out a few signs, tap a few nails in your wall….and tada….holiday art! I also love that you can make this art as big as you want! Have a huge empty wall…buy 11 and type out TRICK or TREAT. You get the idea! These are also great to set on a mantle, a book shelf, buffet, etc. Here you can see I typed out BOO for my space. You can see the rest of my Halloween home tour here.
I used “Its Fall Yall” for my Fall home decor.
FREE PRINTABLES
There are so many options with FREE printables! They are all over the internet for any holiday and all you have to do is pick the one you like, print it out and stick it in a frame. This is a 5 minute project!
I shared Halloween Mason Jar free printables this year. Click HERE to get them. There are 3 styles to choose from.
Here are my printables from last year. Click HERE to get them.

HOLIDAY CANDY BAR
Setting up a holiday candy bar is so much fun. Just get some mason jars or cute clear jars….HomeGoods is a great place to get some fun ones. They usually have cute chalkboard labels or something. Then I love to get my candy at the Dollar Store because it is cute and cheap! I also try not to buy candy I love because I don’t want to be tempted to eat it all the time. This is another quick project that adds Halloween fun and the kids will love it.

and our Christmas candy bar from last year.
TOMBSTONES
They sell these Styrofoam tombstones everywhere and they are cheap! Again, I got some of mine from the Dollar Store (see a pattern here)…and some from Target. Just place them on a shelf, a buffet, mantle, etc and you have instant Halloween decor! Here I used mine on a buffet in the dining roo.
Last year I used them on my patio!
I also used them as decoration for our annual trick-or-treat party.
PAPER BATS/SPIDERS
I got both the bats and spiders at Target for $5 each. They are paper and I just used painters tape on the back so it doesn’t damage the paint. Hang them around your house for quick decor!
PUMPKIN BALLOONS
These don’t last super long so you would want to do them closer to Halloween or for a specific event. Just grab orange balloons, blow them up, grab a sharpie, draw a face on them and tie a green ribbon at the not for the pumpkin stem. I love hanging these over our kitchen island when we throw our trick or treat party.
I hope this gave you a few easy ideas to get your home festive this Halloween. Do a few of them or all and in no time your home will be feeling ready for Halloween!!
