Hi friends…welcome back to part 3 of the McKinney Holiday Home Tour. Today is the last day! I hope you enjoyed part 1…the adorable white cottage and part 2….the farmhouse with Mother-in-law addition. Today is a real treat. This was my favorite home on the tour! It is a stunning mix of vintage and French Country! Grab a snack because there are lots of pictures headed your way!
The property itself is absolutely gorgeous. It is very large for downtown McKinney and the trees!! AHHHH all the heart eyes for the trees! I will show you the dreamy backyard later
I love the schmear technique on the brick.
The home has had 3 owners and the 2nd owners completely remodeled the entire home. They moved almost everything including the stairwell. When you enter the home you go left to the master bedroom and right to the dining room.
How amazing is this master bedroom?! I mean that bed looks soooo cozy! I just want to hop in! That would be kinda weird though 🙂
Here is the floor transition from the entryway to the master bedroom. Look at those planked floors!
This is heading from the master bedroom into the master bathroom.
Master bath.
I loved this sweet tree in the bedroom.
Here is the HUGE dining room. It is 20 feet long. That farm table is just amazing. It is 13.5ft long!
The place settings were amazing white glazed dishes .The napkins are decorated with live greenery, tallow berries and vintage satin ribbon.
This fireplace was a show stopper! I mean it is just amazing. It is in the center of the home dividing the living room, and kitchen area. You can also see it from the dining room. The home is open concept and this area just makes the space. It is original from 1957 and one of the only structural elements in the home that hasn’t been moved in 60 years. The mantle is decorated with vintage frames, mirrors and a tallow berry wreath. Lavender trees wrapped with burlap and aqua satin ribbon sit on the hearth.
Look at this dreamy tree with beautiful presents!
This little dry bar is just the cutest! Such character! It has gothic windows, Carrera marble and a beautiful view of the outdoors. This used to be the porch with the back door before the 2007 home renovation. The terra cotta brick floor is original.
A beautiful vintage door in the home.
I am absolutely in love with this kitchen! It was featured on HGTV’s Biggest Bang for Your Buck in 2007 (Season 1, Episode 4). This kitchen earned the Vesta Award by Hearth and Home Magazine for best kitchen renovation under $50k. Distressed cabinets and robin egg blue island, Carrera marble countertops, white porcelain farmhouse sink and chandelier adorned with beautiful flowers….yes please!
I mean look at these details! AMAZING distressed cabinets, incredible hardware, that marble!!!
This little nook is off the kitchen and I love the transom windows!
This brick wall is the other side of the fireplace we saw. This wall divides up the spaces. Look at those breadboards!!
Look at this amazing dessert table!
Even the laundry room door is adorable! This would make doing laundry more enjoyable!
I just love the details in older homes. Look at these window seats with lift up lids for storage.
Cute holiday vignette.
I love the layered mirrors in this bathroom!
Ok, this picture does not do the backyard justice! It was just incredible. It is huge, goes way back with an adorable little greenhouse back there!
They even decorated the unicorn float in the pool!
Beautiful details…
Outside view of the dry bar area. See that Gothic window!
