back to school shopping

I cannot believe school is starting back in just a couple/few weeks (depending on where you live).  We have meet the teacher next week!  I swear this summer flew by.  I am sad to say bye to summer, but I love the start of a fresh new school year.  I like having a schedule, hearing the kids stories about their new class/teachers and the thought that my favorite season (Fall) is around the corner.  I also LOVE back to school shopping!  The new clothes and the school supplies!  When I was younger decorating my locker was one of my favorite things (the decorating passion started early although it was more like Brad Pitt posters) and now they have cool things like locker chandeliers??!!!  Say what?!!!  Anyway, my kids are not at that age yet, but I have had fun getting new backpacks, clothes, shoes, etc.  Here are some of the cute things I am loving!

Pottery Barn Kids has released several new styles of backpacks and they have FREE shipping right now!  They have also been running sales often so check back!  
Last summer we threw a Kindergarten kickoff party for Avery and her friends.  You could really do this party for kids going into any grade, but it was really fun if you are looking for an exciting way to kick off the year!
Also if you have a kiddo going into Kinder this poem might resonate with you.
