Parents everywhere…it is almost time for our Elf’s to return from the North Pole. I am very excited about this year because Braden can get in on the fun too. I know there are evenings when doing something with your elf is just 1 more thing on the giant to do list, but if you kids love it as much as mine seeing their faces in the morning makes it all worth it! Here are some ideas of what our Elf was up to last year to help you get creative this year! Happy Elf on the Shelf season!
On November 30 we have a tradition of watching The Elf on the Shelf movie and get all excited about Elfie arriving the next day!
Elf on the Shelf Ideas
DAY 1
Elfie always arrives with a breakfast and gift for the kids! They love it! Powdered Donuts, Marshmallows….what is not to love! The gift Elfie brings is always Christmas Jammies for the kids to wear during the month!
Here are some other silly things our Elf was up to!
Avery is obsessed with Peppa Pig and loves this Peppa Pig Playhouse so Elfie brought a gingerbread house for the family to put together and decorated her house!
Elfie brought fun glasses from Hobby Lobby that make lights look like different things. There were several options to choose from. Elfie went fishing in our tub! Of course he had pink water! Obsessed with these tabs that change the color of the water. We use these for bath time all the time!
Elfie brought a pair of ornaments from the North Pole aka Hobby Lobby. He colored it through out the day. Avery thought this was so cool! She would leave the room and I would color it a little more.
Elfie cooked Avery a special treat. She had no idea what it was. Woke up and he was like this with red water (food coloring in water) and sprinkles….later in the day he showed up holding red jello with pink sprinkles on top for her afternoon snack. She LOVED this idea!
FLYING ELFIE!!! Here is the video Avery thought this was hilarious! So so easy!!

Elfie leaves us to head back to the North Pole on Christmas Eve and he and Santa always throw a birthday party for Jesus…the true reason for the season! He also leaves a present for the kids that is a puzzle with a note. We will use this every year. It is awesome! Avery LOVES puzzles and had a lot of fun with it.
