Every year for the 4th of July we head to Oklahoma for the Hargrove Family Reunion. We look forward to this every year. I LOVE tradition and the Hargroves are such a fun family…super bonus when I married Geoff!

There is a huge group of us and it grows every year because we have had a new baby join the family for what seems like a decade! There are now 25 of us that go and it is always a blast! We do tons of fun games that make a lifetime of memories (game details at the bottom of the post…you don’t want to miss those!!).

Here we are through the years:

I am just recapping since Avery was born….this has been going on for decades before that. Geoff grew up going to these every year!

1st year (Avery was 10 months)

5th Year (Avery almost 5, Braden 20 months)

Aunt Dana made all the kids these adorable hats! Yes it was 100 degrees, but they will be great for winter! Every kid got one, but trying to rangle everyone and their hat was quite the challenge!

Here we are waiting for the annual parade to begin. They throw candy at the kids and it is pure kid heaven!!

Now time for the craziness! Let me tell you…the Hargroves are a lot of fun and up for anything! We play tons of games.

BEANBOOZLED

This year I brought BeanBoozled. Avery had been dying to play it, but chickened out at the last minute. In case you don’t know what it is it is a Jelly Bean game where you spin a spinner and it lands on a jelly bean. You then pick that jelly bean color/pattern from the bag and it will either be yummy or disgusting….it is a surprise!

For example…you may get Peach….you may get Barf! It was soooo much fun and hilarious!!!! We all laughed so hard our bellies hurt (may have also been from the nastiness we consumed)

There were some serious troopers in this group! Skunk Spray and Barf got voted the worst ones!

Yall seriously need to try this at your next party. Geoff and I joked about leaving out a bowl of these jelly beans and just watching peoples faces! Get yours HERE

MOUTH RETRACTOR GAME

This one was hilarious! I mean….WOW. I have never seen my mouth like this before and pretty sure I could have gone without seeing it like this, but it was sooooo funny!. I cannot believe I am sharing this picture. Basically you put these mouth retractors in your mouth and then have to read a sentence or do an activity (eat a banana, drink through a straw, etc). Pam (Geoff’s cousin) made up a list of things to say. Words with P’s and B’s are the hardest!

HUNGRY HUNGRY HUMAN

We had seen this game on Facebook and Pam to the rescue putting the whole thing together.

Things you need (playing with 3 people going at a time).

You probably have some of this at home, but just in case I added links to make it easier

Balls -we used 30 in the center

Tubs-7 (1 for each player, 1 for the team to collect, 1 for the middle)

Scooters

Both the kids and adults had a blast with this game as well.
