I am so excited to partner with World Market today, one of my go-to stores, and share some of my favorite items with you. All opinions here are my own. This post contains affiliate links…if you purchase I may receive a small commission. Thank you.
Saturday night I went to the most amazing local Farm to Table restaurant. The food was delicious and the decor was the perfect mix of farmhouse and industrial. Today, I am going to show you how to get that same feel in your own home.
I love entertaining. When I was a kid I hated setting the table, but now it is one of my favorite parts because a beautiful table sets the mood for the gathering. Farmhouse style is my favorite. It mixes vintage, rustic, industrial and is casual while being beautiful. I am just not a china/crystal kinda girl!
World Market is one of my go to places and if you have followed me for a while you know how much I love their decor. I like to keep my colors pretty neutral. Mixing textures gives just the right amount of character.
To achieve the farmhouse feel I mixed wood, linens, white dishes and galvanized metal!
This twig table runner is the perfect backdrop for the center of the table. I layered it with metal cake stands, textured bowls, plates, measuring cup/pitcher, a glass cloche and kraft berry baskets with flowers. The flowers add a little pop of color.
When you are keeping a neutral pallet, simple changes like different chargers and decorative dishes add interest. For each place setting I alternated between galvanized metal chargers and wooden bark chargers. I layered my favorite napkins in between the plates, used an old book page on top and topped each setting with an adorable white dish. Here again I alternated between creamer and sugar bowls.
I love decorating with chalkboards. It is a great place to add a menu when you are having people over. This Farm to Market sign was perfect for the decor. This industrial hardware bin lazy susan is amazing. I use it for so many things, but here I used it for holding utensils and drinks. Crates are great for storing extra dishes and this dish towel matches my napkins perfectly. Typically food is used for cooking, but these jars full of pickled veggies were awesome decor for my farmhouse theme….hello Joanna Gaines :).
Here I removed the utensils and put out my favorite tiered rack for coffee and dessert!FARM TO TABLE Look #2
I wanted to give you another alternative to get this Farm to Table look by using the table runner that matches the napkins. I love both looks so I figured I would show you both and then you could decide for yourself which one your prefer. It’s like when magazines say buy these 5 items and achieve 10 looks…I am showing you how to great a few different farmhouse tablescapes with the same items.

Another way to achieve this look is to use the white dishes down the middle of the table and the kraft berry baskets on the plates. Here are both ways side by side.
FARM TO TABLE Look #4
Add 1 more layer with these adorable braided chargers. Available in World Market stores. Below you see it under the galvanized metal and Bark chargers. You can never have too many layers!
I hope you got lots of ideas on how to incorporate this farmhouse look into your own home. These items are so versatile you can really mix and match and bring in some of the things you currently own. Farmhouse style is so practical too because you actually decorate with the items you use. Once the party is over store the extra plates in a crate, silverware in mason jars, cake stands on top of each other and they become decoration until you need them again! Easy, beautiful, functional! The best combo!

Dying over your table! Where could I find it? I feel like I need to just copy all of these tablescapes for my own home. I’m in love!

I looked forever for a table and this was the perfect one. I love the style and I love how big it can get. It can easily seat 14 but also get small. It has 5 leafs. We do a lot of entertaining so I wanted the option to fit everyone but most tables that were large had no leafs and were always that size. I didn’t have the room for that. I highly recommend this table!

LOVE this table setting!! Would like to know the size of the cake stands you used? Thanks
houseofhargrove@gmail.com says
Thank you! The one in the middle is the large one and the 2 on the side are the medium ones. I own all 3 sizes and use them all of the time. They are good for so many uses! Thanks for the comment!

Can you also tell me what size cliche you used for the centrepiece. Thanks
