I am so excited to partner with World Market today, one of my go-to stores, and share some of my favorite items with you. All opinions here are my own. This post contains affiliate links…if you purchase I may receive a small commission. Thank you.
Our game room upstairs has kind of always been Geoff’s domain so it was the last room to get decorated. Haha…does that make me a bad wife? :). Lets clarify….it had everything he needed….a pool table, poker table, bar, TVs, etc so don’t feel too bad for him, however, it kinda had a mish mash of furniture from our old home. Football season is coming up and we do a lot of entertaining so it was time to update this room and give it a farmhouse game room makeover. I went to my go-to store, World Market, for everything I needed!
The first thing that had to go was our media stand. We had an old Ikea one that served its purpose, but really wasn’t pretty at all. When I saw this wood barn door media stand I knew it was the one! It was the perfect mix of farmhouse and industrial and was a great size to hide all of our media components.
Geoff and I put I put it together in less than an hour and I love it! It looks great and the quality is amazing. Everything slides so easily and it is very solid. I love that the middle section is open and can look pretty and you can store all your “other” stuff in the sides. My favorite metal Samuel basket fitsgreat on the bottom and is perfect for storing books, dvds, etc.
You can see the x-box and Wii are hidden on the side. I am so glad for that because lets be honest….they never look this neat and organized!
Here is a close up of the finish and the barn door sliders. The doors lock on the railing so it slides smoothly, but doesn’t fall off. This was a plus for me since my kids will be moving them.
The next thing that needed updating was our coffee table and side table. I was using the ones I had in college (gasp)! What they lacked in design they made up for in lots of memories and durability (quite a few quarters were played on that coffee table), but it was time to say goodbye! The Aiden collection is also one of my favorites because it blends my 2 favorite styles…farmhouse and industrial. We bought the coffee table and side table. The casters add tons of character and make them easy to move around (they do have locks though in case you have kids that want to use them as cars….I have learned from experience). You can see the Aiden Console table here and how I styled it 3 ways.
As always I am back with my favorite Hardware Bin Lazy Susan. It makes the perfect storage for your coffee table to hold your remotes, coasters, etc.
Here you can see a better shot of the Aiden side table and how cute is this Skull Halloween Pillow?!! It has a dictionary page background and Jute border. It matches my Halloween printables perfectly! The Edison Cloche lamp is one of my go-tos.
I love this room so much more now and am ready to invite people over to enjoy it. Football games, game nights….we are ready! Our bar is attached to this room and I gave it a makeover last month. You can check that out here.
