I have been busy getting organized over here. After putting all the holiday decor away and cleaning up all the glitter, I realized it was time to tackle some projects I have been putting off. It feels sooo good to get all clean and organized and today I am sharing some things I found that have made it so much easier!
First project. . .my bathroom
I am a beauty junkie. I need to try ‘all the things’, but then I end up shoving ‘all the things’ in my cabinets and they get crazy. Also, I have the same towels from about 10 years ago (insert look of shame here). It’s terrible I know. This area of my home needed a major overhaul! Look at this yuck. I have more cabinets filled with junk, but this one is glass so you can see into it and I have a mixture of haircare, kids stuff, body lotion, you name it, it is in here and I cannot find it!
I headed to The Home Depot to find everything I needed to help me with this project. Not only does The Home Depot have everything you need to get organized, but they also have an amazing selection of home decor and furniture. They have something for every style and carry name brands in every category! Another thing I love is they offer free 2 day shipping on orders over $45 or free in store pick up. Also, if for any reason something doesn’t work you can just return it to the store. WIN WIN!
1. PRODUCT STORAGE: I needed a solution for all of these products. They are all mixed together and I can never find anything when I am looking for it. I went online and searched The Home Depot’s organizing essentials (seemed like a great place to start).
- LAZY SUSANS: I went through their assortment of Lazy Susans and found THESE. They were exactly what I needed! Yall, you need these in your life. Seriously! I got the 10″ non skid Lazy Susan and I am in love. They also come in a 9″, 12″ and a 2 shelf option. I am not even kidding these are my new favorite thing and I will be bringing them to my Favorite Things Party next year! Everyone needs a million of these in their home. I have big plans for other parts of my home with these (think fridge, pantry, etc). They store so many things and spin around so everything is easy to find!! On a totally separate note my cousin’s name is Susan and she thinks these should be renamed (haha).
- BASKETS: I found these super cute, sturdy white wicker inspired baskets for some of my other products. They came in a pack of 2 for less than $5. I stored my bath products and the kid’s stuff in those. They also offer a larger size (12″ x 8.7″) if you needed storage for something bigger.
2. TOWELS: I was desperately in need of new towels. The Home Depot has a large bedding and bath assortment online. I wanted white towels so after looking online and reading the reviews (all 5 stars) I decided on these. I absolutely love them. They are a large, super soft and absorbent and ONLY $12.99! I am now going to be replacing the towels throughout our house because having new fresh towels make a huge difference. I am not sure why I waited so long!
3. MAKE UP STORAGE: I found this gorgeous acrylic option and it was exactly what I needed. All of make up was just jumbled and thrown in an old drawer system I had. I found this and couldn’t wait to try it out. It is the perfect solution. It is pretty, great quality, has lots of storage, I love the mesh drawer inserts because it keeps everything clean and in place. There are lots of different configurations to meet your needs. Different sizes, different drawer options, brush holders, some perfect for jewelry and accessories, etc. I save so much time in the morning being able to find everything I need.

2nd project. . .Kids Playroom
Oh the playroom. No matter how many times I organize this room it seems to live in chaos. I am reminded of the quote “excuse the mess, my children are busy making memories”. I need that sign above the door before you enter! I truly think toys are like rabbits. They multiply so quickly! You buy 1 toy and it has 457 little pieces! Moms. . .can I get an amen? Anyway, I have been looking for a great storage solution and I have found the answer!!! This toy storage system is a game changer! We have other storage in our playroom with drawers, etc., but my kids cannot see what is in each of those drawers. They just throw everything in there and before you know it everything is unorganized again. This new system works so well because they can see everything! It is very easy for them to quickly pick up and put everything back where it goes. The other thing I love is the baskets are really lightweight and easy to move around as they play. If they want to color, they grab the bin with markers and coloring books, bring them to the table and then when they are done they can put the entire bin back! HALLELUJAH!!

This toy storage system comes in several different sizes and colors. See all the options HERE. I wanted this one, but we didn’t have the space for it. These would also be great in a craft room, pantry, or any other space that needed storage. It was super easy to put together. Took less than 10 minutes and the kids helped me! You can also rearrange all the bins to meet your needs on bin size. If you are looking for a great solution I highly recommend this. The price was great too!

3RD PROJECT. . .BLINDS
Ok, so this isn’t storage, but last year I updated my blinds from those thick white blinds to bamboo blinds and I absolutely love them. I got the blinds at The Home Depot and they are so pretty. They are the perfect neutral color and made such a difference in the room. They are not black out blinds, but I just love the look. They are made by Home Decorators for The Home Depot and they offer such beautiful home decor and furniture. Another cool thing about these blinds is you can order them in a custom size down to the 1/2 inch!

I cannot tell you how much better it feels to be getting organized. I hope this inspired you to do the same in your own home. I cannot wait to tackle the other projects around here. I am off to order 25 more Lazy Susans :).
