We love broccoli in our house. It is one of the veggies my kids will actually eat. With summer around the corner and bikini weather tank top weather ahead we are eating more of it around here :). I was not planning on doing a blog post on this, but I was making broccoli one night, shared my simple tricks on Instagram stories and had soooo many messages asking about it and requesting a blog post that you could pin for later. So. . .here you go! Here is how I cook broccoli! It is super easy, very healthy and so delicious!
HOW I COOK BROCCOLI
- Get fresh heads of broccoli. . .however much you want
- clean it, chop it, put in microwave safe dish
- coat bottom of dish with chicken broth, about 1/4 of the way up the dish
- add a TBS of miced garlic (I forgot to show this in the video and picture, but it is delicious)
- sprinkle garlic salt on top
- cover and cook in microwave until desired firmness. I like mine tender so in my microwave it is 7 minutes and then I remove and leave covered for another few minutes. I would start at 5 minutes and test.
That is it! Told you it was simple. Something about the chicken broth makes it so so tasty. It really is the best broccoli. I eat it plain with nothing on it. Of course, if you want it even better you can add butter, cheese, etc. . .BUT it honestly is so tasty I really don’t think it needs anything!
