I shared all the details of our trip to the Magnolia Silos on Monday, but I had to do a completely separate post for the Magnolia Bakery because there was so much goodness to share! We originally stopped at the Silos on a Saturday and it was crazy busy! There were lines around all the buildings. We decided to come back on Monday as we headed home from Austin and it was much better, but there were still lines around the Magnolia Bakery. It was the place to be!! You could seriously smell the “yumminess” as you walked around everywhere! Here are all the details on our trip to the Magnolia Bakery.
This is the view of the Silos as we were walking up. That building with all the people in front of it is the Magnolia Bakery…and that was the line! It moved pretty fast. I would say we were in line about 15 minutes. It really wasn’t bad. It was so much fun being here the weekend after the Bakery makeover appeared on Fixer Upper! I watched the show Thursday night and saw it in person that Monday!
While waiting in line a lady handed out order forms so we could pick everything we wanted and have it ready to go when we got to the front of the line. The hardest part was deciding what to order. These were not all for me….I bought several for friends and the kiddos.
It was so beautiful inside. So much character and Joanna nailed it on the feeling of a “bakery that had been around forever”. I loved the combo of black, white and warm wood tones.
The bathroom made me laugh because Chip said on the show that people would probably travel just to see the bathroom! Well….he was right. While I was there I had to check out the bathroom! 🙂 This was one of the doors that Clint stripped and restored.
Once we made it through the line it was time to eat!! This may be shocking, but I am not a huge cupcake fan. I mean, don’t get me wrong they are good….just not that big of a deal for me. I am much more of a cookie and ice cream person. However, these were seriously the best cupcakes I have ever had. Not only were they beautifully packaged, but the cake was so flavorful and moist and the icing was just the right amount of sugar! I had the red velvet and YUM YUM!! I also ordered several other flavors to bring home to friends! They told me that the Lemon & Lavender was one of the best sellers!
We sat on the patio and enjoyed some treats!
Like I mentioned above, I brought several treats home. This chocolate chip cookie was amazing and HUGE!
The kids got to pick the flavors they wanted. Avery chose Peanut Butter Cup and Braden had Silobration. Avery is dying for another Peanut Butter Cup and asked if we can have her birthday party there!! haha. After the kiddos had their treats we loaded up the car and played “Santa” delivering them to our friends. It was fun to bring a piece of the Silos home to them!
Like everything Chip & Joanna do, the Magnolia Bakery did not disappoint! It was beautiful and so so delicious. Which flavor would you have picked?
