I am so excited to share our house elevation with yall today! This has been a long time coming! If you have been following along for awhile we bought our lot over 2 years ago! There have been tons of things going on behind the scenes and we finally broke ground a few weeks ago! I have shared inspiration photos and a few details of what we were looking for, but today I am sharing OUR ACTUAL ELEVATION RENDERING!
When we first started this process I shared some inspiration with you. You can read that here. We want a classic, timeless house. . . nothing trendy. Think white siding, white brick, shingles, vintage red brick pavers, charming landscape, etc. I shared some of the architects and designers I follow for inspiration HERE. I am so grateful for my builder Joe Vastano with Joseph Paul homes for helping me pull all my ideas together and make it all cohesive. He is so talented.
We had to do a redesign last December due to landscape easement restrictions and ended up moving the garage to the front of our home. I am so glad we did this! I LOVE the look so much more now. We have 2 wooded acres are at the end of a cul-de-sac. Our lot is pretty tucked away, but one side of our lot is about 3 other people’s back yards. We wanted to design our house so that it blocked out those yards giving both us and them more privacy. We designed a T shaped house to go along that fence line.
I love Southern Living homes and I love Cape Cod style homes so we kind of combined those 2 styles to create our dream home. We are calling it #HOHSOUTHERNCAPECOD.
Here are some homes I found for inspiration. You will see a theme, garage in the front, siding, porches, gambrel roof lines, etc.
Now, that you have seen some of the inspiration, here is our HOME!
#HOHSOUTHERNCAPECOD ELEVATION
There will be a few things added to this elevation. For example, we are adding a weather vane on top of the cupola, a cute striped awning on the side of the house, a precious white gate leading to the backyard, there are huge trees in front of the home, etc. . . . but this gives you a really good feel! A little bit Southern, a little bit Cape Cod & lots of texture! There will be white brick, white siding and white shingles. Cannot wait to see it come to life! I see many memories made on that front porch in our porch swing while the kids run around the front yard!
