I am back with a new house update. . .WE HAVE DRYWALL!! Woo hoo!
I am not gonna lie. . .it feels like a minute since I have had an update. Parts of the building process go really fast and then parts go really slow. We just got out of inspections and that seemed to take forever. I am happy to say things seem to be picking up speed and hopefully I will have updates more regularly!
The drywall went up fast! They got it all up in about 2 days. Now they are working on taping and bedding which takes longer, but its all about the details. They have also started back to working on the outside of our home which is really exciting. I am so ready to see all the siding/brick, etc up! It is starting to feel more like a home!
Drywall makes a huge difference. The house really starts to take shape. It also really lightened everything up which I love since we will be having lots of white paint in the house. I feel like a can really envision what it will be like when we are done.
This entire ceiling will be shiplap!
This dutch door will be blue with the prettiest hardware!
I have been busy behind the scenes picking out floors, finalizing cabinet drawings, picking out tile, etc. Lots of fun stuff coming up soon! Cannot wait to share! We will have tons of trim in our home with transoms, etc that will really help add character and charm.
This next month should have lots of changes. Floors should go in, trim should start and the exterior cornice work should be complete! Stay tuned for all the fun stuff! I am off to start working on paint samples! Lots of whites & blues.
