I love my home, but one thing it’s lacking is natural light.  All of my windows are under a covered patio so it tends to feel dark.  The family room/kitchen area are where we spend most of our time and it is one of the darker areas in our home.  I love the drapes I had in there, my mom custom made them for me, but it was time for a change.    I was looking for something lighter and brighter and found the perfect thing.  Check out my new white faux linen drapes.

So here are what my drapes looked like before.  They were beautiful pinch pleat custom silk black out drapes, but much more traditional than my current style.  They were very heavy and didn’t help at all with our lacking natural light situation.

I also had the same drapes in my breakfast nook.  They are gold with cream and black mini stripes, but along with being heavy they made the entire space look really yellow.  I definitely wanted a more neutral, white, bright space.

I love love the new look.  Everything looks so much brighter!  I also added these bamboo shades and I love them too.  They were the perfect shade of grey/brown and could be customized to the exact width you needed down to the 1/2 inch!!  They were super easy to install.  I installed all 3 in about 30 minutes.

I seriously cannot believe what a huge transformation just changing my curtains made.  Everything is brighter, whiter, so much more natural light comes in and it matches my style much better now.  These curtains are amazing quality!  They are textured, have pole pockets and a weighted hem that make them hang so nicely.  There are multiple color options and they come in 4 lengths.  Check out the reviews. . .they are awesome.  These drapes are a great price and have free shipping!
