I have been busy working on the Playroom all summer and will be doing the big reveal tomorrow!
I LOVE U ART:
When I saw this art on Pinterest I knew it was the perfect piece to add to the room. I LOVE it because it has the alphabet so it is educational AND it says I LOVE YOU.
It was a super easy, cheap project!

I found unfinished wooden letters at Joann Fabrics for $1.50 each and then I used a 40% off coupon so the letters were a steal!
I then stained them with a grey stain. I cut a piece of plywood to the size I wanted and spray painted it black. I painted the I and the U with green spray paint, the heart (a heart made of card stock, also from Joann’s fabric) pink. I distressed them a bit and then used hot glue to put them on the plywood.
After that was all done I had it framed with old barn wood.
It was a cheap project that takes up a lot of space on our large wall and I just love it. Avery looks at it and starts singing her ABCDs.

KIDS TABLE:
I looked all over for a kids table for the Playroom and really liked the Caroline Table from Pottery Barn Kids and the Everlasting Table from Land of Nod, but I wanted it to be robin egg blue so I didn’t want to buy a new table at a premium price and then have to refinish it. I found the perfect ugly table at an auction and the table top size was perfect, but it was way too tall! You can see in the before pics it was a really strange gold distressed color.
I painted the table Robin Egg blue, distressed it and then I cut the legs to the height I needed to make it a kids table. You can always cut legs on tables to make them the height you need! Check out this kids table for only $75!!

STORAGE BASKETS:
I was on the hunt for the perfect baskets to fit in the Ikea bookshelves I bought for the playroom. I wanted the playroom to be kid friendly, but still fit my style. I found the perfect baskets at Target. They are a neutral linen material by Threshold.
I wanted to add a chalkboard label to the baskets so I could better organize them and add some extra detail.
I found these wooden boards at Michaels for $1.99 and then painted them with chalkboard paint. Each bag had 4 boards in there. After I painted them I hot glued them to each basket.
