One of a Kind, Antique Farmhouse Furniture…FOR SALE and ON SALE!!

September 1, 2017 By houseofhargrove@gmail.com

I have some amazing one of a kind, antique farmhouse furniture to share with you guys….and they can be yours!  One of the hardest parts of my job is saying goodbye to the pieces I sell.  I truly love every one of them and wish I could keep them all!  All of these pieces are true vintage pieces with tons of character….ultimate statement pieces!  Many are brand new and a few I have shared before and are now ON SALE!

If you see a piece you are interested in email me at houseofhargrove@gmail.com and we can set up an appointment for you to come see it/them.  Unfortunately, I am not able to ship.  Everything is local in McKinney, Texas.  Like I mentioned above, these pieces are all original, not refinished.  I love offering the look for less and although these are higher prices than you find on mass refinished pieces, they are significantly lower priced than what you would find in antique store! All prices include tax!

ANTIQUE FARMHOUSE FURNITURE

PAINTED APOTHECARY DRAWER PIECE

This piece is one of my favorites!  I mean….wow!  Chippy paint, tons of drawers, catalog hardware, unique size….so many amazing characteristics.  I actually looked for another piece I own to sell so I could keep this one.  It is such a cool piece!  The drawers are white chippy paint with lots of layers so there is variation in color.  The sides are a dark blue color.  It is hard to tell from the picture but the molding at the top and bottom has some chippy blue/teal showing through.  I put some numbered labels on each drawer, but these could be changed to say anything.  I mean…this would be the coolest craft room piece, or bathroom piece….or really anywhere!

51″ wide, 55.5″ tall, 12″ deep

$900

8 FT LONG FARMHOUSE DINING TABLE

This is the coolest table.  It is an antique farmhouse/harvest table with 3 drawers and casters.  The plank wood top is my absolute favorite and there are so many details to it.  The hardware is just beautiful and it is full of character!  The base is a dark matte black color that is distressed with brown wood showing through.  This table would also be beautiful if you painted the base another color, but I didn’t want to change the original finish and patina.

8 ft long, 41″ wide, 32″ tall

$1500

PAINTED COUNTRY COUNTER

I love vintage counters.  There are so many uses for them.  Buffets, entryway pieces, media stands, etc.  I have one that I use for our media stand and it is perfect.  The cabinet perfectly holds the DVD player and other TV components and I store my DVDs, etc in the drawers.  This one is solid, the drawers pull very smoothly and the hardware is beautiful.  Look at those pulls and hinges :).

55″ wide, 33″ tall, 15″ deep

$550

PAINTED INDUSTRIAL DRAWER UNIT

This fun piece is solid metal & has 27 drawers.  Tons of storage and there are slots to add labels to each drawer.  So many cool things you could do with this piece.

30.5″ wide, 37 3/4″ tall, 13.5″ deep

$300

SALE ITEMS

HARDWARE STORE COUNTER ON CASTERS: ON SALE

I have never seen a piece like this before.  It is super unique, is on casters, has a beautiful painted finish, original casters and I love that it has shelves and drawers.  This would also make an amazing media stand!  The shelves are adjustable so you can take some shelves out, change the height, etc to meet your needs.  You can see more pictures of this piece here

 69″ wide, 46 3/4″ tall, 25 1/2″ deep

Originally $1500:  ON SALE $1200

VINTAGE INDUSTRIAL WORK CART: ON SALE

Beautiful wood, distressed finish, casters and tons of drawers…..the recipe for a perfect piece of furniture!  I saw this vintage industrial work cart and fell in love!  It is OLD and has all the vintage charm I cannot get enough of!  The base is metal and has 22 drawers with plank wood top and casters!  It is HEAVY!!!

See more pictures of this piece here.

28.5″ deep, 56″ wide, 41″ tall

Originally $1200:   ON SALE $1000

VINTAGE SCALE: ON SALE

I LOVE vintage scales and have several in my home.  They are so much fun to decorate with.  This is an antique Toledo scale.

Originally $200: ON SALE $150

ANTIQUE SEED CABINET: ON SALE

Super cool OLD….vintage/antique seed cabinet. Was used in a general store to sell seeds! Some of the drawers have dividers and the nail heads are square (shows how old it is).
It is HUGE and double sided so it could be a kitchen island….bar, media stand, bathroom counter,…etc. I am in love with it.

81.5″ wide, 24″ deep, 36.5″ tall

Originally $1500: ON SALE $1000

ANTIQUE FARMHOUSE STEP BACK CABINET: ON SALE

Pretty white chippy finish, incredible hardware and classic lines!  There is tons of storage and this could be used for so many things.  I would love to have this in my kitchen or bathroom, but just don’t have the room.  This piece comes in 2 pieces.  The top sits on it, but it could be separated if you needed it to be.

See more pictures of this great piece HERE

It is 67.25″ wide (68.5 at the widest part at the top molding), 22.75″ deep, 84″ tall.

If separated the base is 67.25″ wide, 22.75″ deep, 35.5″ tall and the top is 64″ wide (68.5 ” at the widest part…the top molding), 12.25″ deep at the cabinet part (the deepest part is 14″ and that is at the top with the molding), 48.5″ tall

Originally $2000, ON SALE $1500

……………………………………………………………………..

So many great pieces right?!  Cannot wait to see them get a happy home.  If you are interested in seeing something in person just email me at houseofhargrove@gmail.com.  I mentioned this above, but all prices include tax.

When designing our home the kitchen was such an important space. We spend a lot of time in there. I wanted it to be beautiful and functional. Here are some of my favorite features in our kitchen.

I’ve been on the hunt for faux flowers for my outdoor pots and I finally found a winner!!

🌸 comment SHOP and I’ll send you the links

I kept spending lots of money each season on real flowers and it was so much work keeping them alive!

I was looking for a better option and finally found one!

These faux flowers are
•BEAUTIFUL ....always in bloom
•ZERO MAINTENANCE ...no watering, fertilizing, etc
•BUDGET FRIENDLY ...these are priced great and you don’t have to replace them each season
•AND LOOK REAL. Some faux flowers are bad!! These really look good and unless you dig in there you’d never know they are faux

Each pack comes in a bundle of 2 bunches. Each bunch has 7 stems. You can plant 2 ways and I tried both. You can plant the bundle attached together and bend the stems (they are wired) to spread everything out....or....you can cut the bundles apart and plant the stems individually. I ended up doing that and thought they looked more realistic that way. I ended up using 5 packages (10 bunches) for 2 large pots and 1 smaller pot.

I share both ways on IG stories so you can see the difference.

I also removed some soil and added floral foam blocks beneath, recovered with dirt and stuck the flowers in them. I don’t think this step was necessary, but I wanted to make sure they were in there firm.

I’m so excited I now get to enjoy beautiful flowers with zero work 🙌🏻🙌🏻

Last year, Geoff and I added wires up this wall in a diamond trellis pattern. We planted creeping fig, but unfortunately, it all died this winter. I just planted Star Jasmine in its place so really hoping it survives. Texas weather is hard!. Thanks to a little AI magic I was able to create what my ultimate vision is. Fingers crossed it will look like this in a couple of years.

I just learned that May 3 is World Naked Gardening Day 🤣 I seriously can’t believe there is a day dedicated to this, but maybe lots of people need fences 🤷🏼‍♀️😉🌱🌿
